Established in 2008, SigmaCubed Pty Ltd is a private business providing a range of independent consultancy & specialist services targeted at the food & feed-grains sectors. Specialising in technical services & quality control, SigmaCubed also offers a suite of stock-on-hand measurement services to financial & independent audit houses together with the in-house design, development, & implementation of innovative I.T. tools via web-apps &/or proprietary software such as Microsoft Excel.
My agricultural career commenced at (the then) Australian Wheat Board (AWB) in field operations. Specialising in grain quality analysis I quickly developed an affinity with the application of objective testing of intrinsic quality parameters using Near InfraRed (NIR) technology & other mechanical techniques including the development of Agtator ‐ the first mechanical screenings device to be used in Australia.
Following on, I entered the R&D discipline and was instrumental in developing & validating systems & processes for assessment of grain delivered into store. These systems are still in use today.
I was also involved in the development & commercialisation of IP emanating from AWB's applied research programs. It was at AWB where developed the skills for commodity stock measurement using physical & laser-guided survey techniques.
In other project roles I have managed a grain packing facility in Northern NSW, operate as a grain buyer & broker in Queensland & Northern NSW & manage a number of research projects in the crop variety trial space. I also conceived, built & validated a new mechanical screenings device and commercialised under the brand-name SieveMatic. This device is now manufactured under license.
A new product range, currently under development is the design & implementation of I.T. tools via web-enabled Applications &/or proprietary software such as Microsoft Excel. Some examples of these applications are provided for reference in the BlogSpot page.
